993 convertible top warning light issue

HELP! Convertible top warning light stays on even though:

1. All latches work fine;
2. Latch motors stop when top fully closed (no grinding, no strain);
3. Top works fine;
4. Emergency brake light goes off when EB released.

I did recently repair the front driver side latch motor (broken tooth on gear). I thought maybe the internal micro switch in motor might have been out of adjustment but don’t think that’s the issue because, as I stated, top latches and then motors stop when latched. When I have top partially open and test the exposed micro switches, adjacent the latch mechanisms, by pressing them down, light is still on.

Any help on isolating the problem would be appreciated. Any suggestions to ignore the light or go to manual operation is not the advice I seek.
