MC replacement... can’t get pin out
 

I’ve got everything unbolted and the brake booster and MC assembly ready to come out. But I can’t get the pin near the driver side floorboard out. In the pic, I’ve got the retaining clip removed, sprayed it with Kroil and I’ve tried long-handled screwdrivers, prybars, etc but can’t get it to budge. Is there a trick to this other than more brute force? I’ve searched for the past hour and it doesn’t seem like anyone has experienced an issue getting this pin out.

Looks like the vertical bar has to be removed. That’s just 2 bolts.

I've removed this pin a few times and it's a nice precise fit to ensure there's minimal slop in the brake pedal linkage. Like Bruce said, remove that flat bar to give you some clearance. Then you can use a small C-clamp and a socket as a hand held press fixture to press the pin out.

Before I went through removing more parts, I turned to Ole Faithful... MAP gas. Torched it for a few minutes and then with a long prybar I was able to convince it to come out. Have everything ready to go back in and I put the pin in the freezer for the last hour so, hopefully, it'll just slide right in without too much effort.

Try wiggling the brake pedal in and out slightly while using a flat screwdriver on the right hand side. You may have the head of the pin on the left interfering with the flat metal brace. Loosening the metal brace at the master cylinder in the frunk can help you to move it slightly.

To move the brace, the nut is on the front right hand side of the master cylinder mount. I believe it is 19 mm; if not it is 17 mm. Pull the plastic plug from the master cylinder mount to align it back when you are putting it together.
