Rennline floor boards

So, is it really necessary to cut up my new carpet to install Rennline perforated floor boards?

Install over top of carpet just like stock floor boards, only mats would cover if you chose to use mats

Mine would not go in over the carpet-impossible to get the short base mounting bolt through the board hole over (vs under) the carpet and insulation. Not an issue for me as my carpet is old so I just cut away, but I will be looking to replace it next winter so curious how others have addressed this.

Yep, if it was old carpet I wouldn't even worry but it is brand new.

When I installed mine a few years ago they wouldn't fit. After putting it aside for a while I decided to compare the new floorboards to the old and found the wooden floorboards had been trimmed on the corners to fit my thick aftermarket carpet. I trimmed the new floorboards to match the old and everything worked.
Good luck!
