Fenders

Here is an issue I ran into. I'm restoring a '68 912. The parts of fenders that hold the blinkers and horn grills are a bit rusty. Also, the bowl around the gas cap opening is pretty much gone. I know they're replaceable but I started looking at buying a complete fender set.

I looked at a couple for earlier cars and for some reason they're appeared different. Specifically the part that fits blinkers and horn grills is much smaller and thinner. So the question is - are later '69-73 fenders identical to early ones? Are they interchangeable? Thanks!

Fenders are different from SWB to LWB they would bolt on the car but park light, grill, and flare are all different.

Definitely not interchangeable. You need 65-68 fenders.

How about the frunk cover (aka long hood)? Are they different too?

No they are the same.
