Carbon Fiber Guage delete anyone?
Does anyone make a panel of carbon fiber to cover all off the gauges? I need something to cover all gauge holes as I will be mounting an AIM electronic cluster at some point.
Any help would be great! Thanks guys! |

Don't know of anything commercially available. It is pretty easy to just make something that will work. I have seen folks use ABS or thing alu sheet. I have used acrylic and DIY carbon fiber material.
My current face covering is made from a thin CF panel that I made with materials from places like Tap Plastics and Aerospace Composite Products. What I made is thin enough to adopt the contour of the 911 instrument luster shape when screwed down. I use 10-32 button head screws that fasten to rivnuts. My existing cover has holes for a few items I like to have in addition to my AIM G-dash.

You can see what I did in the picture below. I used a hole saw for the big oil p warning light, combo gauge and AFR gauge holes. The panel is so thing that I could have used a pair of sheers or tin snips.
I will be making another one soon-- likely getting rid of the oilp warning light and AFR gauge. Will probably keep the combo gauge. ![]()
