I didn't pay 59000euro, i'm selling it for 59000 euro. I've bought a ton of parts to it thats ultra rare and ultra expensive. You also have to count in that these are more expensiv in Europe than in US because of the VAT you have to pay to import it to EU. They go for big bucks.

Offcourse I checked the Chassi number, it all ads up and its a RS America, even the small damage from the incident ads up, tnx for the concern.

There were so many bad 964 blocks that were recalled and replaced by Porsche under warranty in the 1990s - not to mention the ones that survived the 1990s are by now showing their weaknesses that it's really really hard to say if any numbered-old-used block from this period is even existing - other than existing in a dump.

I knew quite a few owners of new 964s and mechanics at Porsche dealerships that were angry in general at the lack of development of the 964 in the early 1990s that there was a general resentment of the car in general. Coming off the hugely reliable G-Body run from the late 1970s to the end of the 1980s left many owners and Porsche mechanics bewildered at the lack of real development of the 964. So many early engines leaked and this lead to lots of anger towards Porsche. These were not good years.

I doubt this block exists and was scrapped long ago. People did not keep these 964 parts because they were in fact flawed and not rebuildable.

Just another data point; the Hans Mezger 3.6 won the 1971 Le Mans and many more.

In case there is a case that belongs to this particular RS America out there it should have the number 62N06374.
Tnx again.

Might be, this one had been sitting in storage for a long time.

you'd expect with the relatively unique RSA platform that great lengths would have been gone to maintain the original engine in the car. something is amiss here, besides just the motor.

Lol nothing is strange, I've had expert looking at it, all is good with it. Everything ads up with VIN, original welds, everything original around the vin number, title, carfax etc. I'm well aware of frauds, I've tripple checked everything. But thanks for the concern.

The ad link doesn't work because it's removed, not for sale anymore.

As far as I know this car has absolutly nothing to do with that company. You guys are getting ahead of your self, don't worry all is good.

AND BTW this is a fantastic project car, even better then I anticipated when buying it, the damage was absolute minimal, it was hit on the passenger door, which is replaced, only small other insignificant damages. It's disgrace it was picked a part but would make sense if it was hit on track where I guess no insurance was valid so please don't make some random assumption based on that I'm searching an engine.
I've bought a engine now, it will be a 3.8 conversion beast(3.6 drilled) with a custom intake, performance cams etc etc built by a 30+years in the business great Porsche builder and the engine will have about 325-335hp. This will be a great car.
