My 911 is back on the road. WOOHOOO!!!!

A while back had the motor and trans out to have a repair done on the trans. The connectors to the speed and reference sensors crumbled when I touched them, so I replaced them both. After having one of the boss' repaired, installing a new clutch and reassembling everything the car performed well for a while. A couple months later the car started having some starting issues. It would start, but then not start sometimes. Finally it would not start at all.

Did the checks, fuel pump was good and operating. Plugs, cap rotor and wires all in good shape and new since they had been replaced while I was in there. Checked to ECU and it indicated one of the sensors (cant remember which) was not signaling. I decided to just replace them both. Down came the motor and the two new sensors went in. Put everything back together and she fired right up. Too bad it took me a over year to do. Life and work in different states led to me parking it in the garage till I could get to it.

Thanks to this forum, diagnosing and replacing was straightforward. It's been a blast driving it again, but has taken some getting used to. It is very different from the Cayman I bought and have been driving. I'm just really happy to have her back again, WOOOHOOOO!!!!

Nice feeling to get her back I bet. Currently working towards June 17th 2018, been off road now for about 9 years - looking forward to the day I take her for a proper spin....
