2.7 to 3.0 tach wiring
Hi, just reviving this thread for my own clarity before I fry something. I have swapped in a 3.0 non lambda engine into my 76. The engine came with a 6 pin CDI, The car has been running fine for some time now but no tach. The harness came with the Black/violet wire out of the harness as in the picture and there is nothing on pin 12 on either the male or female side. Can somebody please clarify what I need to do to get my tach working. It is the original tach. I've already done too many track days without a tach.

You have to jump to a white T two wire connector under the CD. One of the terminals in the connector is the drive for the 2.7 tach coming off the 2.7 distributor

So you are saying to take the black/violet to the TD pin of the CDI? I think I tried that yesterday and nothing happened.
