How do you open the DME box?

I need to change out my chip. I watched Ingo open the DME box but now I can't get it. I have lifted the tabs and removed the circuit boards from the metal container. I understand there are two tabs near the plug that must be lifted but I cannot get the top circuit board to slide out. AM I missing something?

Paul:

On the side opposite the plug there are several plastic posts separating the two boards. They just snap apart, then the top digital board can slide out and open like a book.

Not totally accurate....

First..as you know...you need to bend the 10 ,or so, bottom metal tabs.
Then, you look for the two posts ( as was said) and separate them axially from themselves by wedging something like a small screwdriver blade along the post.
BUT now...in order to separate one board from the other...( like folding open a book), there are two push tabs that are in slots within one board, on the opposite side where the ribbon ( "hinge" for the two boards) is. Again, carefully use a small screwdriver blade to *gently* push down on these tabs one at a time, while pulling back one of the two boards...now the two boards should separate and fold open...

(Easier said with a picture ...:( )

Wil, did you say "Say it with a picture".... here they are:

The second picture shows the clips Wil was referring to. If you lift the board a bit, it should slip by the clips, otherwise do as Wil said.

In re-reading my post...I may have started-off a bit strong...but see you didn't take it the wrong way :)

Thanks for the pics...exactly what I was trying to portray !!
