Remember the eRAM Electric SuperCharger Debate?

Not sure what was ever decided, but we're moving, so I'm cleaning all the stuff out of my office:

I always wondered how it would be if you replaced the fresh air vent fan with an E-RAM charger...

I would think it would give great ventilllation in to the cabin since A/C in earlier cars suck...

I am amused that Garrett is about to introduce an "electric turbocharger" as an OEM product. Not the same as the eRam by any means, but it will use a small electric motor to spin the turbo up quickly, to avoid the last vestiges of turbo lag. (Big article on it in Automotive News 24 February, page 22E.)

Mark,
The results are in the page that Thom has a link to. Bottom line was 2-4 hp.

2-4 HP on a dyno run is way within the margin for error. Also, it only works on full throttle. Unlike the cool collar, which has been proven to lower oil temperatures, this product seems to be expensive, and not really something that we want to carry at this time.

Yes, this is the demo unit...
