Hello
Iam planning on lowering my 1973 911T. Which reputable shop in the San Francisco (East bay area) does that can possibly lower the car as well as align all four wheels? Thank You for your replys and recomendations. |

I've never used them, but S-Car-Go in San Rafel, has recieved excellent recommendation by a few members.
I have heard good things about Rennworks in Mt. View as well. Also TRG in Sonoma. |

Closer to home would be Kahlers (Dublin) and Krause (Castro Valley).
I used Krause for my alignment and tire mounting when I had tires drop-shipped to them. Thought they knew their stuff and believe they do suspension work. Haven't used Kahlers but have heard lots of good things about his shop. keep us posted on who you use and what your experience is.

Hello,
Just got my car worked on by S-Car-Go in San Rafael. Dropped it off at 6am and picked it up the next day. The shop is clean and the staff is friendly. The cars in there are awesome! My Cab is a totally different handling car. I can recommend them. Calspeed

Hi,
I would highly recommend Devek in Belmont: http://www.devek.net/ They are well known for their work on 928's, but they also do 911 work. I had my '73 911S lowered, corner balanced, and aligned at Devek last Friday by Brian. The work came out great! Brian is a 911 driver -- actually GGR Li champion last year -- so he'll know how to set up your car. The diagonal balance came out to within .1% -- 3lbs. We put it on the scales a few days later to double check, and it was still dead on. The side to side balance was almost exactly 50/50 because I replaced the dual batteries with a single optima on the passenger side. Total weight was 2330, including 1/2 tank of gas. One other point: I would recommend that you install SAW adjustable spring plates. This will make the corner balance and lowering go quicker, and also allow you to adjust your ride height later without loosing your corner balance. -Juan
