Glass Install Question

I have replaced the headliner in an SC. Next step is glass install. The quarter window gaskets seem to be different. The windshield and rear glass gaskets have a nice flap that gets roped into the car during install. The small quarter window gaskets seem to be different. The flap, if there is one, is much smaller.

To install the quarter glass, do I still need to try to rope that small flap into the car or, alternatively, does the quarter glass just get pushed into place without using a rope?

Did you get gaskets for fixed quarters or pop-outs? Should still have a flap.

It’s an S.C. and I believe he is talking about the small qtr glass in the door. This should be fixed. Anyway I popped mine in place, it is different than installing the rear qtr glass. Use some soapy water or other lubricant.

hmmm, maybe, but not sure what the qrtr glass on the door would have anything to do with the headliner install.

Stopped using rope years ago. A little glycerin, two times around (gives you two chances) with electrical wire and a helper slightly pushing on the outside and they go right in.
