DUMB QUESTION #2: Mystery 3rd stalk
 

the third of tonights idiotic questions relating to my new/old '79 SC.
What the hell does this mystery 3rd lever do? It doesn't flick up or down, does pull in (towards the driver) but not back. It does nothing (so far).

Can't find it in any web searches at all! (ready for another outlast... I can take it!;))

No - the PO "SHREDDED" (yup!!) all the paperwork!! Says he does that for all his cars! He kept nothing! Absolutely heartbreaking. I am trying to find an owners manual but no luck yet. :mad:

I feel like people might not want to be bothered once they sell the car. Maybe I'm weird, but I found the email addresses of the prior owners of my SC online and sent them all an email telling them that I was the new owner of their old car. Just wanted to see if anyone was curious where their 911 ended up and that it was in good hands. I wouldn't do this for a "normal" car, but figured a 911 owner would be an enthusiast. I never got any replies back. Too bad, I'd love to hear from prior owners of any of my cars.
