Front trunk hood seal installation question
 

Noticed some water dripping down onto the passenger foot area when washing my car. Popped the hood and noticed water getting past a split hood seal in the passenger side corner of the seal. From there the water dropped down to the footwell air duct area and past that "seal" and finally to the floorboard.

Hood seal just came in and I'm installing it and had just a few questions.

1. Does the lip that runs down the fenders rest on top of the fender metal or does it get pushed under it?

2. Same question with the cowl vent grill. Does the seal go over or under it?

3. Similar question for the front bumper matte black plastic trim piece. Above or under?

If this hasn't fixed your leak in to the passenger foot area, it is probably the windshield seal. I had a similar leak in the interior.
