Back from the Homestead Rolex races (with pics)
I just can't stand living in the mid-west after 5 fun filled days in Miami. We got to see the practice day and race day for the Rolex races in Homestead. It is a wonderful facility and a very interesting track. We got autographs from Kevin Buckler and Hurley Haywood including each of them signing my wife (well her shirt anyway
![]() It was a tough time in GT though with the 84 ACME motorsports car not being able to start for the race. The 66 Racers Group porsche seemed to be fighting handling problem early with some push in the corners. It seemed to get sorted out at the end of the race but they couldn't catch the 33 Ferrari. I'll attach a few photos. If you want to see about 150 more I have them online at: http://members.cox.net/ssutton6 I should have some mpegs from video of the actual race soon. Including a scary spin of the 66 porsche right in front of the 33 ferrari. We also got to visit an amazing facility in Miami called "The Collection". An amazing dealership selling porsche, ferrari, lotus, mazaratti, aston martin, jaguar and hummer. All I can say is wow. The let me go down to their inventory basement and look at 2 GT2 they currently have. I've never seen so many new porsches in one location. We also visited another location selling no less than 8 lamborghinis (forget the name). It was auto paradise. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |
