Post N. Calif. Upholstery

I want to reupholster the Recaro sport seats in my 67S. I am considering sending them to Autos International. I've seen some of there work and it seems to be very good.

Because I live in the S.F Bay Area, I would really like to find a shop in N. Cal that knows how to do these seats properly.

Can anyone suggest such a shop?

Thanks,

Bob

Try Cook's in Redwood City. They did a great job on a set of sport seats in my 71.

Might want to check out Armands, just off North Main Street in Walnut Creek - I've heard very good things about them, though I've not yet used them (I do need to have the seats on my '85 Targa redone, but after my rear suspension work is completed).

Bob,

How long did they take to do the seats? They do look very nice. They look to be leather? Mine will be vinyl.

I just have the problem of getting them down there. That's why I'm looking for a place up north. I do have a place to check from another message.

Thanks,

Bob

Steve,
I found their number in the book and will call them this morning.

Thanks for the help,

Bob

Try Generations Upholstery in San Jose (408-224-5552). They do lots of Porsche work, they are a small family business and the owner used to be the a rep for Recaro and learned upholstery from his father. I bought a used Recaro from him and had it recovered in black leather to match the passenger seat. Good honest people.

Andy

Bascom Auto Trim in San Jose (408 727 2292) has always done a great job for me and their customer service is great! Good luck.

Andy,

Just got off the phone with Jack at Generations. Like you said, he knew all about the Recaro's. Most likely will bring the seats to him on Sat. for a complete restoration.

Thanks for your help,

Bob
