shifting problem found

With the help of this bb and 101 projects I finally felt confident enough to tackle my first project on my P-car. I took the cover off look down to see the coupler. guess what i found. there were new bushing, mouted on the outside of the coupler held in place with a plastic zip tie. I could believe what i was seeing. the PO was a real bone head. I took the coupler out and cut the zip tie. At that point the coupler fell into two pieces. it seems that the PO had tried to pound out the pin and broke it. So now i am waiting for my new coupler from Pelican with the sun out and great weather to drive.
