Any painters here? Painting help needed.

So, I am painting the flexible plastic bumper cover for a GMC truck. I went to the body shop supply house and purchased a adhesion promoter, a primer set up, and basecoat and clear coat. I chose Nason/Axalta for $$ reasons and ...well, it's the GMC truck that has been an unreliable headache, and I want to sell.

So, the cover is primered. I'm using an HVLP gun. I am not a pro, but have shot a bunch, including the yellow 911 you see <<<.

As things go these days, the instructions/ data sheet are no longer given to you at the store or on the back of the can, so I downloaded them online, and my mistake was to wait until today to read them completely...I was mainly concerned with flash times and dry times.

THe Chroma Basecoat (K Quality) instructions state to mix 1:1 with the Basemaker 7175. Fine, all good there, but then they then say "Stir thoroughly then add 1 OZ (pr quart) 14305S activator"...which the store didn't sell me. I specifically asked if I need a flex agent, and he said "No, it's all built in". hmmmm But the instructions go on to state, "Chromabase Basecoat should be activated with 14305S activator for optimum performance and lifetime warranty"....and......"The use of 14305S is required over flexible substrates, no other flex agent is necessary".

So......:giles::unamused: it's memorial day weekend. The Axalt tech support lines are closed until Tuesday at 8AM, the store sure isn't open, and you can't get this stuff at Lowes, LOL... the truck is apart, and. ...well, you get it, I'd really like to get this wrapped up. Now...I don't want to do a ****ty job, but if this is an additive that gives the paint a better look 20 years from now, hmmmmm.

Suggestions??
