Fuel Markets A B C
After checking the option codes on the hood sticker I have a code I do not understand and cannot find any information about. It seems there are three “fuel markets” according to Porsche. I know countries have different standards/qualities of petrol so there may be a need to have different specifications to work with each countries fuel.
Can anyone advise what the physical differences are for each market ( A,B & C) or it simply a different inspection/service interval/service plan? Thank you. |

Just a guess, but on the Carreras with Motronic injection, there is a fuel quality selector on the back of the DME that is factory preset based on delivery destination. I believe it adjusts engine timing.

Yes, Search DME settings, Wong's site i believe has this info.
there is a rotary switch that you can adjust for different fuels. This could be used to alter timing (+mixture?) with a simple setting. the Brown Wire under the drivers seat will also alter timing for CA emissions.
