930 vs 965 front fenders question

Quick questions please: is there any difference between a 930 and a 965 front fenders. Can you put 965 turbo fenders on an SC?
Thx

No problem putting them on an SC. Difference is a dimple at the bottoms for the rocker clips to fit into. On drivers side, the gas door and filler assembly is different but can't remember what it takes to retrofit.

does anyone know what needs to be done to make the gas door on 965 fender work with the earlier year 911's?
Thanks in advance for the input!

The 930 opening is the same as any 911.. it pretty much has a metal pocket that narrows to hold the rubber piece that is held into a small circular channel by the retaining ring.

The 965 has a plastic cup and utilizes a different filler neck etc.. the flap bolts to the hinge differently etc.

Simplest way to adapt requires cutting the pocket etc,, out of an older fender an welding/finishing into the new fender, and as said; there is a "dimple at the bottoms for the rocker clips to fit into" which will need to be eliminated and refinished as well.

Also, if correctness is your thing.. the year of the car they're being used on will make a difference. The early Turbos, and those up thru 85 I believe had flares welded on them from the factory, whereas the later Turbo cars have a stamped piece fender.

Thanks for the feedback Onboost! I'll have to see them in person to appreciate the mods.
