Distributor clip

Can anyone help sourcing a distributor clip in the UK?
I contacted local Bosch dealer but no joy!
I was hoping maybe the same unit used on another vw such as golf and maybe can source via a breakers yard.Can anybody confirm? any help appreciated.

Not in UK. But PartsKlassic has them and thay ship worldwide

Find an old VW Beetle distributor at a junk yard.

hey cat, did you ever find a distr. cap clip, i have a nice distr stash, not sure if i have any spare 3.0 clips but i am sure i have spare 2.7 clips. i would have to get the crate down and see if the 2.7 would work on 3.0 - richard

definately not a fetish, probably better description would be hoarder. after 38 years in the porsche business you end up with a alot of stuff, that distr. stash along with the other 7 or 8 distr. in another box are only a fraction of my porsche stash,heres a little more of it

Did the OP ever find his clip? It is not the same as a VW clip or even an earlier 911 distributor clip...the SC clip is longer. I had to pay an embarrassing amount for one; makes your $28 look entirely reasonable. Best, John/CT

LoL, having been in and out of the business for years I do understand.

In recent years however I have sold off many of my spares in an effort to stop spending on storage, and to get down to items specifically allotted for the cars I have. Tough job though, considering something else always seems to follow me home!

so i got the distr. spare parts crate down this afternoon and got a look at what i have. the 2.7 clips look pretty uniform but the taller 3.0 clips not so much. post or email a pic of your existing clip for comparison. my email is rfdanversjr@gmail.com also just curious, what happened to the missing clip
