3.6 conversion dies at idle with a/c on
I’m just finishing my 3.6 transplant into my Carrera. I’m using the DME that came with the motor. With the a/c on, the motor dies when I come to a stop or when I try to let it idle. It idles fine when the a/c isn’t running, so I don’t think it’s a problem caused by the flywheel being too light. The DME supposedly has a terminal that gets a signal when the a/c comes on and it raises the idle speed to compensate for the compressor’s load on the motor. My question is where is the signal supposed to come from? Can it be taken off one of the a/c fans via a relay, or does it have to switch on and off as the compressor cycles? Thanks.

I used to adjust the fuel mix ( in emergency c/o with the A/C on ).. if it dies, it is too rich..try to lean the fuel mix
