Help with clutch disconnect for engine drop, 901 tranny with bowden guide
Hello all,
I searched and searched. It seems I have a different clutch cable assembly than the typical 911 engine drop thread as well as the one referenced in Wayne's 101 projects book. I have a 901 with the bowden channel, the atypical push type.. (from my research) Picture in 2nd post. How do I disconnect this? Thanks in advance!

70-71 type 911/01.
Loosen the adjuster jam nut. unscrew both jam and fixing nut until cable trunion will release clutch lever arm. Then push cable backwards and release cable ferrule from the bell housing. Pull cable through slot on bell housing. You are now disconnected.

Excellent. Thank you. I just needed the reassurance to go that route. I saw one thread where someone suggested disconnecting the pedal assembly. I managed to get the jam nuts loose which was my original stopping point and removed the cable end off the bell housing. Then rethreaded the jam nuts off the end along with the cable trunion in order to get the whole thing through the bowman channel which is also on the tranny.
