You might want to try and sell this on a Mercedes forum since that is what this radio was intended. The proper Porsche model can be seen here:

Avery nice radio though

FWIW: My brother had a very similar Becker GP in his 1968 911 as OE. In the later 70s he gave it to me when he upgraded his music. I became quite familiar with it as I installed it in one of my cars. This one is a beauty.

Prefix H correct for 1971/72, so it's not correct for 912
Faceplate and knobs are for Mercedes-Benz
Very nice radio

Thanks for this info. Interesting that it was OE in a 1968.

Thanks for the info!

I appreciate all the comments!

If someone would please confirm - so I understand correctly:
The base radio would be correct for an early 911 - but the face plate and knobs are NOT correct for any 911?
So even though a "very similar" radio was from alwaysflat6s' brother's car - it wasn't exactly THIS radio, and the face plate is meant for a Mercedes?

I found info on the history of these radios in Mercedes, but haven't found any good resources for the history of Beckers (in terms of which radio was OE in various Porsche cars). I placed this on the Peachparts Mercedes site. Thanks very much for the education!

This would look awesome in any long hood 911 in my opinion!

I would buy it but I'm a far ways from sourcing interior parts for my project.

GLWS.
