WTB- Mag 915 5sp

Looking for a Magnesium case 915 5 speed to be used with a mechanical speedometer. Ideally, it would have been rebuilt or refreshed, have a limited slip, and strengthening upgrades, perhaps WEVo shifter. I’m open to purchasing a stock trans and having the above work performed. Willing to pay market pricing. Located in Southern California and will to pickup or pay shipping.

Trans to be mates to a twin plug 3.3 going in my 69 911. As such, I’m leaning towards the 8:31 final drive from the late mag case 915s as I feel the high hp and low weight of the car likely doesn’t warrant the 7:31, but I’m open to anything as well as feedback.

Thanks,
Seth

I have a ‘77 915 tranny with the 8:31. Shifts in all gears without any issues whatsoever. Currently still in the car for buyer to test drive. I am in Florida.

I have a mag case 915. The outside of the case is not perfect, has been spray painted. 8:31 r and p, rebuilt/refreshed with Wevo bearing retainer. Electric speedometer and no LSD.

That's a tall order. 8:31 with mechanical speedo was first half of 1975 only. It's possibly the rarest 915 made. I've got one I'm putting in my personal car and spent 6 months finding one. Just an FYI...
