‘81~’83 SC fuel lines.......

The fuel lines for ‘81~’83 SC’s are metal fuel lines. ‘80 and earlier CIS have the black plastic fuel lines.

I did my look up in the Porsche catalogues and not all SCs had metal lines, in fact look in the catalogue and you can see that both were offered as parts. Perhaps the previous wner replaced them , i dont know. My shop actually say they prefer them, because easier to work around then solid lines..i dont necessarily agree so I went with steel lines. If some one wants to replace their older lines with these that are still flexible and clean, then this is a good offering

I appreciate the clarification you provided

CIS unit identification .....

The CIS unit shown in the above pictures is not an ‘81~’83 CIS. Are you familiar with CIS units? Look very closely at the decel valve and other components. The fuel distributor and aluminum vacuum line are just an example that this particular unit is NOT as advertised.

Let us not make ourselves look like fools. Accept and acknowledge that you are not familiar with CIS and leave it at that point. We all make mistakes and insisting that you are correct contrary to the fact is something you have to think seriously.

I concede to your expertise

we all have mixed bags of components on cars we sometimes dont have detailed hx on. I did do my homework looking at the 77 and 83 porsche catalogues so I did not do anything intentional..

regardless, these lines are for sale and i willadjust the description based on your sage advice

no hurt feelings here..its a learning curve

Bob,

Please accept my apology for contradicting your early post. It just so happened that I have been assembling two complete CIS units (‘78 and ‘83 SC’s) in my basement when I found your post. We all make mistakes and I commit a lot too. You are not alone.
