So you made this without ever installing one yourself and taking pics? (I don’t mean just testfitting on a seperate decklid) Sorry, I think that is weird and commercially not very smart.

I apologize I cluttered the thread up with the full size bolt on duck, was not my intention. Was offering an idea. The full size duck origin is unknown, I contacted the seller and he said the mold was destroyed. Again, sorry for the clutter and confusion.

To install this mini-duck, you remove your factory grille piece. Bolt mini-duck in its place and install grille. Mini-duck bolts to directly to the grilles tab on your current decklid. So you will not be removing your decklid.

It appears to attach using the original decklid grille holes.

Yeah - I read that but then how does the grill attach to the mini duck if the bolts are reaching to the decklid?

The grill has 6 holes, the mini duck tail has 6 holes and the factory deck lid has 6 holes. So you remove the factory grill then fit new fiberglass wing in factory deck lid. Then fit grill on top of fiberglass mini duck tail and then use all 6 long bolts (that are provided with wing)to go through all 3 parts and bolt down, easy peasy.

We are going to attempt a install video this weekend.

I bought the full sized bolt on duck from eBay...really amazed at how it fits and looks...took all of 15 minutes to install. Chatted with the guy who made it, the story of it is the guy grafted an original ducktail onto a turbo tail base and had a surfboard making buddy of his make it out of fibreglass. He doesn't know why but his buddy made 4. his porsche was long gone but the ducks were in his garage and he was finally getting rid of them. Unfortunately i snapped up the second to last one and he sold the last one a few days after. I asked if he was interested in making more but he wasn't
