Porsche Crest Fuel Pump Life w/ E85 Fuel

Some have complained about the short lifetime of the Bosch Fuel Pumps with E85 fuel being used.

Does anyone have experience with the AEM 400 Metric Flex Fuel Pump that is supposed to be a substitute for the Bosch 044?

I plan to buy one for my project car and would appreciate any advice.

Len

I have been using a Bosch 044 pump with E85 for 9 years with no issues. The -044 pump is designed to be compatible with E85 based on the specs from Bosch, which is not true for a number of the other Bosch pumps.

That's what I needed to know.

Should have done a bit more re-searching online.

This Forum is fantastic. Thank you very much reclino.

I have the AEM pump and I had to replace it within a few thousand miles. AEM also states that running e85 will reduce the life of this pump. Next time I have to replace. I’m going Bosch 044 instead

Funny but their Amazon ad says:

"AEM 400 LPH Metric Inline High Flow Fuel Pump 044 Style E85 E90 Flex Fuel Gas"

so apparently they are greatly exaggerating their claims.

Here we go again Re: the internet; only half of what is out there is true, and that must be thoroughly researched.

My bad.
