Early 911 Hood Crest Like NOS

Crest looks new. However, there are signs it must’ve been mounted for a short time.

Don,
Can’t see the back side very well, does it have the 901 stamp?

I think I can faintly see the 901 marking. But for $1000 some better pictures of the front and bad would certainly help

Zooming in, you can make out the circle-R and 901 faintly...

Don's reputation is impeccable. You can be assured it is authentic if he says so.

Don's reputation is indeed very solid - but I guess better pictures wouldn't be a bad thing for $1,000

Agree, for $1,000 there needs to be a better detailed photo.

For a grand it needs to be made of solid gold
Whoever pays that much for an old emblem is an idiot

Tony, you just put WAY more than your “big toe” in your mouth. You obviously don’t know the market on these.

Beautiful crest Don, GLWS.

Screw the market. Anyone who pays that much is an idiot. There’s a sucker born every minute is alive and well.

Bigtoe why post your negative comment on someone's for sale thread, bad form in my opinion!

Since you’re so market averse I’ll give you 3k for your P-car and ‘maybe’ 5 for your ferrari. Wouldn’t want to be an “idiot”.

I agree w/ Mike, bad form.

Sorry Don - FREE BUMP!

I have seen this guy big toe trashing more than one high priced post as I am sure he views sophistication and high end as all idiot traits. He should stand outside koenigsegg jump up and down and call all the buyers idiots as well, I’m sure they will all be hurt by the ramblings of one who doesn’t get it.

We had a guy in the S Reg who around 2007 called everyone an idiot for paying more than $25-30k for an early 911, even a 911S, and use the term frequently “there’s a sucker born every minute”. But suckers are dumb and buy things they think are going to be worth more but never will be. Smart people buy genuine high quality real deal items that are generally in short supply and desired by those “in the know”. A few years later as big toe forgets about calling said person a sucker they sit with their mouths hung open as the item sells for double what he called them a sucker at. Veblen goods such as art, housing in desirable areas, certain sports cars all increase in value and demand. If I listened to other people who called me stupid for paying a lot for an item I knew was the right one then I would be nowhere.

Big toe there are plenty of $50 emblems, go buy one of those put it on your 90s Boxster and shut up.

I recently sold my orange badge in the same condition (pre 72 with the dimples)
for $1k Only I took much better photos
In this day in age there is no excuse for poor photo quality and lack of photos

Big toe and anyone one posting negative comments
You are entitled to your opinion, but it’s in poor taste and does make you seem a bit childish as well as uninformed.
Check out closed listings before making such a statement

Your right. I apologize for clouding your listing. I was just shocked that anyone would pay that.
