Rare 1971 Plastic Carburetor Air cleaner with Metal/Plastic Snorkel
SOLD
Up for sale is a 1971-1972 plastic carburetor air cleaner with plastic/metal snorkel and original Shell yellow sticker. The unit is in great condition! It miraculously doesn't have any melting or warping to the plastic holes that connect to the throttle bodies like most of these units have. It also has the very rare and possibly one year only (not positive) long plastic snorkel with metal base. The unit will come with both of its plastic wing nuts which are hard as hell to find. As well a brand new MAHLE air filter and used rubber grommet that goes between the snorkel and air cleaner. Asking price for the complete setup is $475.00, this will include insured shipping within CONUS as well as PayPal fee. Thank you for looking. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() 2 wing nuts ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Last edited by Matts84Slant; 04-27-2021 at 05:48 PM.. |

With the snorkel going to the left, wouldn't that be for a 914-6. My 71T had it going to the right and pulled hot air from an outlet right behind the oil filter. I don't know where the 914-6 got it's warm air from.

Hey Steve... I believe the 914-6 snorkel is slightly different. Can remember for certain but I don't think it has the small metal tube at the end. I think this one is made for a car with A/C because it interferes with the compressor when it goes to the right.
