Just bought a pair of M&K short race mufflers from JScaramella, they showed up next day and were packed well enough to take a 50' fall.
Thanks John!

I just bought a '74 2.7L CIS engine from Gib Bosworth (advertised here in the forum) and I picked up the engine at the terminal today. Gib is a great guy and I'm VERY happy with my purchase. It's not common for me to buy used engines over the Internet, but this was a great deal and Gib is an honest, "stand up" guy! Thanks again, Gib!!

LONG overdue kudos to Shaun84Targa !!
I recently put a WTB ad for some seatbelts here. Shaun 84 Targa responded saying he had some he'd sell for $200 shipped. Great! I talk to him off-line and ask, no make that beg, if he would be willing to send them to me ASAP. Since I was paying by check, I knew this was asking a lot. He not only agreed, but went out to his car and removed them and had them in the mail next day! This was amazing. In my opinion, this is what this small Pcar world should be like. I know I have sent parts to people and said "You look them over, if you like, send cash. If not, send back the parts." So far so good. I digress ![]() Shaun 84 Targa is a top notch guy and represented his parts perfectly. In fact, he even threw in some hardware etc. He followed up with an email a few days later asking if I was happy and if not, we'd work something out. Great guy. I highly recommend doing any transaction with him! -Chris

I just bought a 99 Boxster from Jim Smolka. Couldn't have been easier, (well, dealing with Jim couldn't have been easier. US and Canada customs, shipping company, well, that's another story
)He took it right in for a PPI, we agreed quickly and easily on price, and there were no problems whatsoever. He was particularly patient with the crappy shipping company who took 2 @#$% weeks to pick the car up. The best part was that the car is in absolutely immaculate shape. After washing and waxing, I found 2 tiny stone marks on the front, much less than you'd expect for a 7 year old car, and I had to look hard to find those! Thanks Jim!! Chris

Michael (vanwyk4257) just bought my old '74 2.7L engine for a rebuild project he has going and he's another great Pelican to do business with! He showed up with a trailer today and we had the engine on a pallet, strapped down, with all holes plugged (CIS and exhaust was removed) and we loaded it onto the trailer and strapped it down and away he went. Great guy and a pleasure to do business with!!

Gib Bosworth (gbosworth) just came through for me again! He overnight shipped a fuel pump to me because he knew I was in a bind. He went out of his way to be sure I got the fuel pump in time for a Saturday project. What a great guy!!

KUDOS!!
I had a recent bad experience with another member who misrepresented the description of parts. Long story short, there was a key part missing. I received no positive response to my many requests for the part or a refund. I decided to post a request for the part - 10 to 15 minutes later mmastro responded and is sending me the part at no charge!! Many thanks to Mike and Pelican Parts.

I was looking to buy metal fuel lines to replace the brittle, 30 year old, plastic ones on my CIS. Avery sent me a set of his, free of charge. He mentioned that others had helped him out with parts and he wanted to do the same. I will pay it forward and help somebody out next opportunity.
Thanks Felmir!! Much appreciated
