I have a set that need some recovering. Cables were broken and are now fixed. I need to p/u from my upholsterer (jerk) who has had them since April. I was going to have him replace the bad leather and dye the whole seat black. May sell for right price, and you refinish.

Thanks for the info guys! The ones on e-bay look a little lighter than my cork(non sport) seats. Hmmm.
Mike, do you have any pics of your seats? Any more info. Not sure what you mean by "cables were broken".

Thanks, Patrick

The cables run inside the seat back and release the catch when you lift the handle to flip the seatback. Common failure. These cables are NLA. No pictures at this time. I need to pick up the seats first. They are leather with some vinyl insert from previous repairs by PO.

I have original cork sport seats that are in very good condition and am toying with the idea of upgrading to 993 seats. Let me know if you are interested. Here is a pic of them:

JFW834, do you still have those cork sport seats?
Interested in parting with them?

Update on my seats. I have shipped them off to a Recaro seat "expert" in CA. He should be getting them any day now. They are all apart and can be refinished to your specifications if we can agree an a price. I have a brand new cork leather seat cover and was planning to have the upholsterer install the new one, plus make a similar cover for the 2nd seat. Only thing is, I do not need cork seats. I would prefer to sell the single seat cover leather kit, and reupholster my seats in black.

If any one wants to buy my seats and have them done in cork by this shop with one new seat cover, I would like $500.00 firm. You will have to pay labor to install the cover and assemble the seat, and the cost to have him refinish the 2nd seat. This guy used to work for Auto's Int'l and knows his RECAROS and Porsche Interiors.

677911ESSES, I am interested, but I haven't been on since I resurrected this post and I see that GARRICK beat me to the table... Have you gotten a price from the seat guy to recover your seats yet?

I actually have C2 Turbo full electric seats in Tan .... just completely refinished that I may decide to sell if I can find a good set of cork sport seats ..... or other seats that I want. They are for a 1978 930 with cork interior.

Patrick, I have decided to keep my cars original equipment rather than updating anything for fear of the latter taking complete and utter control of my finances. I also just like the look of those sport seats and can't bring myself to ruin an otherwise perfectly preserved stock SC just for a motorized, more modern seat. Sorry! ...I hope you can find another pair somewhere on pelican...should be the best place to look!

-Jeff

Guys,
I have these for sale if anyone is interested. They are not perfect but I'll let them go for a decent price. They came out of a 78 930.

I have a pair from my 82SC I should be listing in the next day or two. Condition is fair... the primary issue is with the stitching where the lower side bolsters meet the center of the seat. I really need to get rid of these before I move next month, so I'd love to make a deal. Let me know if you want details.
