FS 2.4 911T CIS motor...

FS 2.4 911T CIS motor
Guaging interest in my '73.5 911T motor. It only has 57,000 original miles on it. Ran great when I removed it, although the warm up regulator is bad...I bypassed it (as a test) and everything ran great. I have a feeling the valve guides might be wearing, only because nothing has ever been done to the motor. I was the first one to take it out of the car 2 weeks ago!!! The motor does not smoke other than the typical puff at start-up. There are some oil leaks which is why I pulled it...but then the thoughts of larger displacement lured me away. I think most of the oil leak was coming from the big oil line that loops under the motor and goes to the oil tank...it was very loose at the case. Anyway, I have all the necessary seals to fix any other oil leaks and they can go with the motor if needed. The motor also has freshly installed Carrear tensioners, collapsable oil return tubes, one SSI (I don't know why but I have all the receipts). The motor is complete but I would be willing to sell it as a long block. It is a 7R case.

I know all the early car guys don't really like the '73.5 motors...neither did I but then I got this car... and it is pretty darn quick and gets great gas mileage. I think I was getting 25-30 mpg!!! My other car with webers feels like it get single digits!!!

If anyone is interested, I would much rather sell locally and I could deliver within reason. I am south of Seattle about 1/2 hr. Drop me a PM or e-mail at...

It all depends on what is included. Parts that are of future potential value to me are the alternator/fan, sheet tin, heat exchangers, braided plug wires and chain tensioners. If you do not need any of that stuff and can swap from your other motor then I can let it go pretty cheap...$1000. So that would include the long block, injection system, fiberglass shroud and the distributor. Otherwise, I would like to get around $2000 OBO for the whole ball of wax.

Interesting trades considered... vintage seats, fuchs, BBS, rally lights...other cool stuff.
