RSR sheet metal
Since no one seems to be able to show the cooler that is for sale I have a request.
The sheet metal behind the front central oil cooler on John Skoien's 1973 RSR ( the orange RSR that had not been raced or changed around, that was in the fire) had its windshield washer bottle in the normal place, up front in the nose of the car, I assume that is where all the factory RSR had there bottles. However almost none of the 1973 RSR have it there now. Can anyone verify that the bottle, when the cars left the factory, that was where the bottle was located ? Also does anyone have a picture of a factory 1973, long hood RSR's original sheet metal that is behind the central oil cooler from inside the trunk area? Please no pictures with the 74/75 sheet metal. |

Not trying to hijack a thread from 2005 (and yes, I'am aware is an old thread for those compelled to remind me?).
 If anyone is interested, I have an OEM 74' RSR BEHR Front Oil Cooler for sale. No 'pm' (or Robots either LOL). Please be sure and contact me directly at AJSERRANO @ MSN . COM          ...and the cooler was pressure tested and also ultrasonically cleaned. Those photos to follow.

Some interesting facts...
The 74' RSR inherited its front oil cooler core size and overall shape from the earlier 908. I mean dimensionally exactly the same. The biggest difference being the end-caps of the 908 are NOT a sand casting as was done with the 74' RSR. Photos of a 908 BEHR Front Oil Cooler and a 74' RSR BEHR Front Oil Coolers. I had to snap some photos--glad I did...       When removing the two mounting brackets from this 74' 911 RSR BEHR front oil cooler, it could also be use in the Porsche 908. The 74' RSR Front Oil Cooler I now have for sale is NOT the same RSR oil cooler shown in this comparison post.
