UPDATED PICS! WHEELS - "SPEEDLiNE FOR PORSCHE" 1994 3.6 wheels
I have a set of the uber rare 1994 Porsche 3.6 Turbo wheels that were removed from original car at 10,000 miles. I know these aren't inexpensive wheels and I have been considering selling them to help finance another current project. I can post pictures later, but wanted to see if their was an interest for them or if I should just Ebay them...They are original and true, have original Bridgestone S02s and most importantly, have the original etching "SPEEDLiNE for PORSCHE".
Thanks for your time, Brian Last edited by bek1973; 02-18-2009 at 09:27 AM.. |

Pictures of Speedlines
Here are the pictures, These are taken as they are now, before a cleaning. They have been stored in my basement (climate controlled) for 10 years, so the tires probably wouldnt be worthy. I will be removing the tires later this week. I am open to offers. I will be taking more detailed pictures later of the lips both inner and outer. --Brian

is it possible to give us an idea of what $$ so we don't look foolish with offers? that will weed out a lot of non serious lookers.

I am in Kentucky and since the dealer couldn't get me a price because they aren't in stock, and there is only one set on ebay for $9695. (see link below) I am going to entertain any offer over $6000. If you are viewing this, you understand how rare they are.

drb930 - You cant buy THESE from any dealer...period, If you want the "SPEEDLINE for PORSCHE" etching, with the PORSCHE OEM part number, you have a very, very limited supply. SPEEDLINE will NOT reproduce the etching for ANY amount of money. I even met someone at a Concours that had a 3.6, bent a rim near the etching and sent it for repair. After he got it back he noticed the repair shop(WE) had buffed off the etching during the refinishing, he contacted SPEEDLINE and they said they were not allowed to reproduce the etching. So if your a purest, Concours guy, this means something, if not...go buy "Replicas", or Speedline repros for $3800 plus shipping or these(below)...used, polished, and polished off etching.
![]() I have heard that only 485 of these cars came to the states and I have also heard that production was limited to 1500 for the Entire World . Either way, considering both are low numbers, and assuming that there are less and less of these around due to wrecks, theft etc. the number of complete matching sets are only going to be more rare by the day. Did you look at these???(below) The 1994 3.6 Turbo is ONE OF THE RAREST Porsches of all time....look it up. The 1973- 10-11 inch Deep Dish RSR FUCHS are the probably the most rare wheels made by the Porsche race team. Last edited by bek1973; 01-20-2009 at 04:05 PM.. |
