WTB 1970 L&R Tank Supports?

Looking for the side supports along the Gas Tank, Battery Boxes area. I've got rust in the front of them and was hoping someone cutting a tub, may have them. I've included some pics of mine and high lighted the area I'm looking for. Thanks in Advance!!

avoid the Stoddard parts. really crappy.

Restoration Design sells, i believe, the actual Porsche parts for this.

If it ain't too bad you could fabricate what you need.

Thanks berettafan,

I was thinking about trying to fab them also.

Thanks for the headsup on Stoddard too.

Restoration Design has them but they are spendy for what you get.

I'll have to seriously consider the custom fab route.

You can also get cuts from a later impact bumper car. The passenger side is the same and the driverside needs to be modified by changing the cutout section for the battery mount. It is angled on a later car and straight under the battery box for the early car.

Good luck!

Restoration-Design is IMPOSSIBLE to work with. I have placed an order online weeks ago, have called 10X and left messages, have been calling EVERY DAY since and no answer. Don't waste your time with them!!!

Pelican parts or Stoddard is a much better way to go.

Thanks VinnyC,

I was just about to place an order with them. Saved me the trouble and time.

RD is most certaily a pain.

But not so much as a poor fitting part. I chose to push my project back by as long as it took to get the part from RD and, admittedly, it was a while. But many would not feel the same (as you can see).

Thanks berettafan,

The car has been in storage for the last 6 years. Sounds like I could have ordered form RD and had the parts by now. They do have reasonable prices. Maybe I'll order them and hope to receive them by the new year.

Thanks to all who replied, and the wisdom and experience of the forum.
