F/S: Yokohama Advan A048 R-Comps 225-45-17, 255-40-17
For sale is a set of Yokohama Advan A048 R-Compound tires. There are two (2) 225-45-17 & two (2) 255-40-17. They only have two track days on them, and never saw any street miles. They were heat-cycled by The Tire Rack (where I originally purchased them). They are medium-hard compound. The reason for selling is that I am getting out of the HPDE game, so I don't need these anymore. They were stored indoors in a temperature controlled environment.
The Tire Rack gets $265 for the 225's and $274 for the 255's. Heat-cycling was $60 total. That's $1138. $500 Shipped to the 48 states ONLY Or Picked up locally Sorry Canada, Hawaii & Alaska :-)

To answer some questions.
These tires were purchased in the fall of 2007. I do not have the birth date handy but I shall look on the tires in the AM, they are in my shop. The tires have been carefully stored since Nov 2007. I had them on my SC for six (6) sessions of DE, 2 days left early second day at Pocono North. I had just moved up to the yellow group in Metro PCA region DE events. No spin offs. These were heat cycled but not shaved. Let me assure you I would rather throw them in the trash than offer to sell them to someone who is going to use them on the track if they were no good. The tires were stored in heavy duty black bags in my dry & heated garage as per Tirerack's recommendation for long term storage. The temp never reached below 55 degs Thanks for your interest.

Some have asked as to the "birth date" of the tires. I have looked all over, both sides and inside as well and cannot discern a date of manufacture.
Fellas, these tires are fantastic and at $125 each, shipped to your door in the contig US a very ncie deal. Have a nice weekend.
