Some fans are made with magnesium so if you can find someone who can weld mag, you can have it fixed.

Great job Jay!

Gott'a chime in here.....Jay did a fantastic job with the cad plating, and the cleaning/blasting/clear coating on my 69 magnesium fan, housing and steel pulley.

Thanks!
John

Just got back an early fan and housing flyingjay did for me. Excellent work and on request he used unplated rivets for mine.

what a difference!

Check out the difference...

I've never removed the fan belt, fan housing, or alternator so I was a bit intimidated by the job. I took my time, and found the toughest part for me was separating the fan blade from the alternator (I tend to have a more gentle touch then it required).

Here are some before and after Pix. I will say Jay was GREAT, I had some questions during the process and he coached me through it.

Pelican is the Best...

Just a note for everyone. I am shipping out everyone's finished fans tomorrow. I am going to be out of the country for a bit for some r&r with no cell service or internet. I will be back saturday, so don't worry if I don't reply to your emails/ pm's.
