Building a '73 E MFI engine harness for a pelican member this week. So longhoods are now on the list of harnesses I will build. (Still need your old one to make an exact copy)

Hi Dennis,
To all fellow Pelican Porsche owners I want to identify the 73 911E harness as the
one Dennis built for me. I am pretty picky about stuff and am completing the rebuild of my 73 E engine. I had been searching this site and others for quite some time for a suitable replacement of my crispy engine harness (from a blazing, brief overheating condition located near the engine console) that melted wiring, engine compartment sound pad etc. on the 911E I am presently restoring.
I want all to know that I received my new harness yesterday and am very pleased with the workmanship of the finished product. In addition, Dennis and I spoke on numerous occasions while he was making my harness communicating the status and approximate time of completion, etc. I sent him my harness and in less than three weeks I received the new cloned harness along with my old harness.
The new harness looks great and I can't wait to get it installed on the engine, hopefully this weekend. I am confident it will perform as great as it looks.
If you are spending thousands of dollars on a rebuild, why short cut the job by re-using a crispy, nasty harness with broken and brittle grommets and wiring.
A new harness is a great compliment to a clean engine!

Thanks for the nice comments Bill, I'm very happy you are pleased and took the time to post your thoughts.

This one took a little longer than others as the wires I had weren't the same, so I had to order some.
The next early year harness I build will be a lot faster as I have the correct wire now.
This is why I need your old harnesses for a correct build, there are subtle differences between all years!

I can rebuild different sections/modules of your car's harness as well.
Just need the old one to clone it right.
Have had a few requests for complete harnesses.
It is in the works to get to that point.

Picture of a CIS harness in OEM style for an '82 ready to be boxed and shipped that I finished up today.
Labelling of the Jr Timer connectors is needed as the new connectors are only available in black. (Looks better than trying to paint them)

Here is another custom harness destined for a twin dizzy and MSD set up.
I wired up a connector for constant power, switched power and the tach signal so the MSD can hook right up to it. (Brass connectors at about 8 o'clock are sticking out of connector for customer to crimp on his wires)

Anyone have a '87 to'89 engine harness they can loan me for a model? Also '83 to '86. I'd like to expand the range of available replacement harnesses before these are all NLA.

Just received a new shipment of the correct brass terminals from England. I ran out of the ones from my original order!
Sent a harness to New Zealand last week, I'm curious how long shipping is going to take.

For those of you contacting me and asking for pricing, I need to know exactly what you want built including the year, style (OEM or custom wrap), stock or carbs, EFI, Ignition system needs and any special requirements before I can give you a quote.

Looks like I may be getting an '86-'89 harness and an '82-'83 as well.

I'll toss my beat to hell factory engine harness in the box while I'm at it, it's still good for connectors and such.
