FS Fuchs 6x15 gold Carrera wheels dated 9/73

SOLD-A pair of excellent Fuchs factory gold painted 6x15 wheels that were originally mounted on a 1974 911 Carrera. The 1974 and 1975 Carreras were fitted with 6x15 in front and 7x15 in the rear and the owners typically bought a set of 8x15 for the rears, moved the 7x15 to the front and stored the 6x15s. I bought these from a friend who owned 1the 974 Carrera on which they were mounted. They have not been mounted on a car in almost thirty years, which is why they look so good.

The part number is 911.361.020.010; date stamp 9/1973; the ink stamp is visible. They are in excellent condition with a few tiny stone chips and minor scratches as shown in one of the photos. There is a very small bruise on the outer edge of one of the rims that will be barely visible with a tire mounted. A concours judge would likely take a point off for the blemishes, otherwise they look beautiful.

Asking xx for the pair, will not split them up. The buyer will pay actual shipping charges, to be determined based on destination.

First, 1974 had 6+7s. 1975 had 7+8s.
Second, and far more important... those images are NOT of a 6x15. what are you selling.. and where are you?

I missed this reply from alwaysflat6s, hence the delay in responding.

Despite your declaration, alwaysflat6s, that these images are "NOT of a 6x15", you are very wrong. I am very surprised, considering your amount of experience with Porsches.

These wheels are, in fact, 6x15 Fuchs wheels that were removed from a good friend's 1974 911 Carrera coupe. Brown with gold wheels. I have seen many Carreras of the '74 and '75 vintage with gold wheels. Regarding your doubt that they are 6x15s, if you enlarge the back side of the wheel, you can read the 6J15 size, date, part number, etc. They are genuine Fuchs 6x15 wheels and the best part is that someone recognized their provenance and bought them.

And I am in the Chicago area.

Please accept my apology. The images make the wheels look much wider to me. I have a '74 Carrera and several of these wheels. I should have checked the part # more carefully.

They DO look great.
