Cleaning, Tumbling, Plating, Polishing, Powder Coating Service

Needing the resources to restore my own and friends' cars, and having parted out over 10 cars in the last 10 years and saved all of the hardware, I've invested in the right equipment and work with the best platers to restore anything metal in our cars to factory or better than factory quality. One of the platers does all of the work for Paul Russell.

I can do yellow zinc and cadmium plating and powder coated finishes. I can also omit the yellow chromate and leave the zinc or cadmium silver.

Wayne has graciously allowed me to offer this service to our Community. I can take your parts from a simple collection of hardware to spring plates, control arms, etc., clean, tumble, bead blast as necessary and then plate or coat.

Pricing is reasonable, for example, the cost for your set of spring plates with rubber bushings, plate hardware and plate end cap disks is $150 to remove the bushings, tumble, polish as necessary, and yellow zinc plate as new. Here are samples of my work so far. I can work with you on pricing out other collections of parts. To do the same with cadmium is $250. It has superior corrosion resistance to yellow zinc but is also twice the price to plate.

Turnaround time is 7 to 14 days from the day I get your box.

Some old spring plates

Bushings burned off

Hardware tumbled, polished and bead blasted as needed

Yellow Zinc plated batch

Hey Shaun, what a great service for our community. I would have shipped everything down to you had you been up and running a few months ago. Good to know for the future.
Cheers,
Johan

Very nice service you are offering. A choice between cad and zinc is good.

I think the photos speak volumes, but I'll also add that the work I've seen from Shaun over the years has been nothing short of spectacular with a keen eye for accuracy and a vicious attention to detail. I won't be hesitating to send our most scrutinizing customers his way. - Matt

Wow, what a difference you can see in those pieces! When I finally get around to doing some restoration rather than just keeping the old girl running, I'll definitely send some stuff down!

Cleaning, Tumbling, Plating, Polishing, Powder Coating Service

Aside from shipping parts out from the w-coast, what is the average turn around time for the plating services?

Cheers

Turnaround is 7-14 days from the day I get your box. I'll want to turn it around as fast as possible knowing everyone wants their stuff ASAP. My plater has 3-5 day turnaround times typically so I feel comfortable with a day of cleaning, tumbling, photographing, cataloging and then off to the plater, then packing and shipping.
