Ian;
i sent these pictures directly to you a few days ago. didn't you get them ? i quoted you $850 + actual shipping costs for the 3 remaining wheels. yes, that was before the wheels were dismounted and i took a good look @ the spare. another party is very happy w/ a pair (@$575 + UPS) which are no better than the 2 good ones pictured here. maybe you can explain what your comment was meant to accomplish. jerry |

I am just surprised at the condition of the rims and the cost. I never got your photos and was under the impression that the rims were in great shape for the original $1500 plus shipping cost. I recently bought five 5 1/2 for $300.00 dollars shipped. I mean you no harm, just glad I did not bite.

i'll be happy to resend the original mail which stated, in part, that the wheels were in "...average condition..." and that the spare was "...so so...". i'm thrilled that you got a nice set of wheels for a great price. too bad their not correct for your '67S. all the best.

the 4 1/2"'s are rare and correct for the '67. They are the first fuchs for production cars after all. This is why they go for more $$. $300 for 5 is a good deal if they are iin decent shape. I'd be happy I had got them and simply leave it at that!

One of my cars had 4 1/2's all the way around when I bought it. I may have to move those on to the right person someday. ![]() |

Average condition? So, So.... Pricing should reflect condition. Yes my $300 dollar purchase was for a set of five 14 x 5 1/2 inch rims and I am just as thrilled as i would have been if they had been five 15 x 4 1/2.

Well that explains it!
Apples and Oranges... A 14" wheel isn't worth much. Practically a giveaway. If the wheel is a cast replica (no Porsche part #) then it's a definite giveaway! A 15 x 4.5 Forged Fuchs was made for Model Year 1967 exclusively and was fitted OEM on the 911S. Valued at up to $400 per wheel. Just a little education for the masses... |
