gabella porsche
i am not sure if this is the forum for this but your opinions are valued. I saw a 81 930 with original gabella conversion (all steel flares) that needs total interior work and wiring harness. seller is suppling all the parts but the engine and trans is out. it is a turbo 3.3 with rated 340 hp. milage around 40k. Seller states everything was working a year ago and was redoing everything due to car stolen and attempted body chop shop. all that is required is putting back all the interiors and rewiring everything, bolting back the body parts and putting back the engine. How much is this car worth, now and potentlal value when reassembled?

This sounds like a car that was listed on E-bay 2or 3 times and didn't sell. I think the highest bid was around 10k.......

930
The question here is what are you willing to pay?....that's what it's worth. A 930 with 40k miles seems to sell for around $15-30k depending on...well everything. You could easily put $10-15k in parts in that car before you know it . If you could get it for 17k or less, and all seems to be in top order...I would go for it in a heartbeat. You might be better off buying a nice 930 for $25k or so. I have seem a lot of em in that price range on autotrader.com. I have a friend selling a 87 930 with 25k original miles, in mint condition...and i do mean mint, not even a rock chip...for arround $40k (midnight blue)....dunno if thats any help but ya never know...
