Porsche Crest WTB: 17" Wheels (Twists/Cups/or aftermarket)

I want some 17" twists or Cups for my 944. If you have some aftermarket rims as well, go ahead and speak up too. My original budget for rims/tires was $1200 (Well thats what I can get new repro. twists w/ new Kumho's for from a local shop) But if I can find something else then...
Thanx,
Greyson

I have some aftermarket twists that I am wanting to trade for some cup 1's. Maybe we can work out a 3way deal here?

I have a set of C2 turbo wheels, 7&9x17, with Bridgestone S01's, 60-70% tread left. The offset is 55mm, but I have the adaptors to fit as well. Wheels are painted flat black for the stealth look. Wheels, tires, adaptors for $950. Email me for a picture of the wheels.

I have a set of cup II style wheels with BF Goodrich R1 rubber on them. Rims and tires are brand new, never mounted 7&1/2 and 9's. They were for my 86 944 turbo. I blew the motor on the car the day before I got them.

Ok, I know the twists, but what are the difference between Cup 1's, and Cup 2's? I think the Cup 1's have a thicker spoke, and the Cup 2's have a rounded thiner spoke.. correct?

wheels

Send me a PM and I can forward you a picture of the C2 turbo wheels from the 1991 C2. They are the "thicker" spoked wheels.

I have a set of 993 Cup wheels that are coming off my 1987-944S,they are 17 x7 and 17 x 9 with painted center caps and brand new Kuhmo tires-225/45 in front and 255/40 in the rear and they are all 55mm offset. The tires only have 3200 miles on them, they have no curb damage and are straight and balanced. These are factory wheels with Porsche part numbers on them,I am selling my car and putting the original wheels back on,I am asking $1200.00 plus shipping. You can private e-mail me for pics.

fig911- Would you sell the twists w/ tires for a set price? Also, any pics that were to be sent were never recieved. Try my other email, gkcrowe@lcwarriormail.com I really don't want to use spacers..whoever can get me a nice set of wheels/tires for the lowest price will have a buyer. Just aslong as they accept paypal (Credit cards were meant for college kids right?)

Another944kid,

I don't use paypal anymore...see this link:

The Truth About PayPal and Ebay...

I am really looking to trade anyway. If I can't trade, I will have to buy some new wheels and then sell mine. I will give the trade option a few months though.

Thats why I mentioned the three way deal. IF you can find someone with Cup I's that will fit my 1986 911, with or with out spacers, I will trade you for my twists.

A little more work but it may get us what we all want.

good luck.

Wow..thats a real interesting post. Is there a safe way to transfer funds over the net with a debit/credit card? And can somebody show me the difference between Cup1/Cup2 wheels?
Thanx..

Cup 1 wheels are the ones with thicker spokes, on Porsche 964 cars 1990-1994. Cup 2 wheels are a little more round on the spokes, and were on Porsche 993 cars from 1995-1998. Go to this website and look at cup1's and cup2's or their replica's.

I have a set of Cup 1 (964) wheels that are off of my Pristine 93 RS America, They have under 7,000 miles of use, are original Porsche wheels that are in beautiful condition, They are 7" and 8" x 17, $1,000 plus shipping buys them, They also have Yokohama tires in fair condition that are included in the wheel price, I do not take paypal or have any photos, Please call me if interested. Don Ahearn (631)786 6511 (631)277 8518 Thanks

Don,

I would have guessed that those wheels would be 7" and 9" X 17"? Are you sure they are 7" & 8"?

Also, Do you happen to know the offset?

Thanks
