Does anyone remember the name or guy who was making and selling on this site "hood shocks with a springlocking pin"? I can't find it on the site, but I need to replace one due to a persons breaking it on my car during a repair. These worked great with front hood lights or the larger IROC tails. Any leads would be helpful; I ever had a photo and commit on his page. Just cant find it.
Thanks for your help Guys agrimmitt@pelican swimriderun.trail@verizon.net 9/22 West Coast |

Yes, those locking hood/rear deck struts were great. I bought a couple and would buy more- was just thinking about them. I'm not sure this is the same guy, but I did find this thread under "Mechanical front hoot struts" ( he misspelled hood ), and his user name is 356racing, though his last post on that thread is 2015. Anyone know how to contact him? I would buy at least two more sets. Seems the sets I bought were more polished, but I could be wrong - different guy?

pin broke after 20 uses on my car trunk and ... jammed inside, I had to hold trunk with my neck to remove whole mechanical shock... I guess pin was way too skinny...
I am not sure if i will get my money back???? I've just ordered this another solution from Pelican, will see how it will work http://www.pelicanparts.com/More_Info/PEL-HGS1.htm
