….Just curious, so doesn't the euro trans have the slightly lower 2nd and really tall 5th designed for something like the german autobahn as compared to the ROW and US 915 ? … kinda would need some good amount of hp to use that tall 5th gear one would think ...

Porsche added the cooler and taller 5th on the Euro trans in 84, when they introduced the euro 3.2 engine. I believe the 83 was the same worldwide

Unless you are a track guy you will never try to pull in that gear. Letís not forget the top of 4th is over 100mph.

That tall 5th is great on a Modern US interstate where it helps keep the rpms down when cruising at 75mph.

This gearbox is a steal. Itís about $1500 underpriced with just the lsd worth at least $1k.

… and since 2nd is lower too I suppose that puts the euro into the sweet rpm grunt torque range when attached to a 3.0 or 3.2 making use of those engine's torque power range band … so a nice 84-86 with LSD and oil cooler would be worth what around $ 4,500 give or take ? ….

Total scam and fraud watch out for this seller he’s bad news. Goes by Alex Melendez and asks for money to be wired to his “son” Carlos Morales

Tell me this is not one of the guys out of Puerto Rico … aka: Carlos Perez DBA: Sport Tech Performance Clinic, Inc. … as I bought a trans about 16 years ago from him and he came through for me O.K. …. so this Melendez guy must be someone else in PR and not affiliated with him … just wondering ?

People have successfully received items from this individual but itís always the long way with him according to everyone Iíve talked to. To be clear I received a broken non-lsd trans with decent wear when i was supposed to receive an lsd just out of a running/driving, shifting car. The gusset thatís broken off happens to be the one with serial number on it
