Seriously, it just means you want your message on the top of the list for visibility, so you "bump" it.

Just a way to get a thread back up to the top of the list. You just give it a "bump."

Flyin' low and playing safe. I don't know where and why someone started Friendly local auto parts store when it obviously should start with Frustrating.

Seconded. I could use a FLAPSTCMHW
(that's Friendly local auto parts store that carries Metric Hardware!).

Too bad you don't have a FLAHSTCMH

Friendly
Local
ACE
Hardware
Store
That
Carries
Metric
Hardware

They may not have everything, but they've got a helluva lot more than lousy home improvement stores.

Individual Sears Hardware stores carry a bit of metric too.

True, Ace is better, and carries a little metric, but does not usually get anything stronger than 8.8 / grade 5 in my neck of the woods. But they want about $0.50 for each metric nut and bolt.

But better than nothing for non-critical fasteners, I guess. That's what I get for living in a farm town with a college.
