What do Boge struts look like?

Quick question. I searched the archives, and I think I have the answer, but there is still a bit of doubt in my mind. I pulled the struts out of my '69 on Saturday, and made one heck of a mess. They are oil filled and the outer strut tube is the housing that holds the oil in. The lock nut on top has an O-ring on it, and this apparently seals the oil in. From what I can understand, the replacements are drop-in cartridges that fit this housing, but I want to make absolutely sure they are Boges. They are black, appear to be original, and I doubt they have EVER been replaced in 34 years (yes, the car drove like they were that old). I can't find any writing on them, but from what I gather, these are stock Boges. I plan to buy some Koni replacements, but need the correct ones. Am I right? Thanks, G

Most likely they are boge, thats what my 69 had and I upgraded to koni, wow what a difference, nice to be able to adjust them too. Look on the metal dust cover it should say boge on it somewhere, mine does but very hard to see. Craig

I'll have to scrape the six pounds of undercoating off of it first. Didn't look there, just checked the tube and the internals for something. Thanks, G
