Question 912 blower impeller assembly

Does anyone have a good picture or assembly procedure for assembling the blower impellor on the generator and into the fan shroud. The illustration in the repair manuals are not very instructive. This is a 69 912.

Try the Porsche website and look for parts catalogs for your model.
It should have an exploded view of most of the components.
Good Luck!

What I have discovered is that the Porsche web site which shows the Illustration 105-15 is not correct. The part in question (#56 Cover plate) is shown on the rear side of the Impeller facing the back of the engine (rear of the car). And that does not work. In that configuration, the impeller interferes with the fan housing. There is also a gap between the impeller and the Cover Plate. when tightening the nut, it would compress and distort the cover plate and/or the impeller. not good for sure. It only works when cover plate is on the front side of the impeller towards the front of the car and inside of the impeller. the open dish side is facing the front of the car. It then allows the assembly to go together and when fitted within the housing, it spins freely. Appears the help with the airflow although it may not be apparent to the non-scientist.
