Rattling and vibrating clutch pedal or ??

Hi all. Just rebuilt pedal cluster in my 69 912. Was in bad shape! Replaced most parts except cable. Working good but now have a rattle noise and significant vibration coming from some where. Can feel the vibration in the pedal. If I hold the pedal down a bit the noise disappears and so does most of the vibration.
Ideas?
